Charging apparatus is designed for taking the charge materials supplied from the charge distributer and their subsequent loading into the blast furnace. The apparatus also serves as a gate preventing gas emission from the furnace into the air when the small bell of the charge distributor is opened (dumped). It is installed on blast furnace dome.
